Boeing 747-400 (F-GITD)

The Boeing 747 . One of the most recognizable aircraft in the world . I first saw the 747 , in June of 1970 while living in Montreal . Air France began using it on it's Paris-Montreal-Paris route . It was a beautiful aircraft then and it has aged gracefully . Today it still garners oohs and aahs when seen . In the '70's the sky over Montreal had 747's belonging to Air Canada , Canadian Pacific , Wardair , BOAC , Air France , Sabena , Lufthansa , KLM , Alitalia to name a few . One day I will post a photo of a "5 engine" 747 . KLM were carrying a spare mounted on the starboard wing , required as replacement .
