05-5147 —
Having completed the offload, three members of this Hickam-based C-17A (05-5147) take a moment to converse before closing up their Globemaster III for the night. This C-17 had just arrived at Stead on the evening before the beginning of the 2015 National Championship Air Races and was being prepared for static display throughout the event.
This is my 501st photo submission to FA.

It was dusk. The evening sky was gorgeous as the sun was setting behind the Sierra Nevada. And to add to the scene, there was military iron all around so no matter where I stood, the photo opportunities were simply fantastic!

Great unique shot Gary. 5 stars all the way! To me it almost looks like a garage if you were to crop out and just keep the cargo bay.
