Boeing 737-700 (N705SW)
*** My most sincere "Thanks" to FA contributor Sara Orsi for posting yesterday's news release about the five Southwest fleetbirds with the all-new Shark Week nose art designs. After reading Sara's post, I made it to RNO just ten minutes before this one arrived. Thank You, Sara. ***
Southwest's N705SW, which returned to service yesterday (9 July 2018) as one of the five SWA fleetbirds displaying five different Shark Week nose art "sharks," is clicked here just as the nose gear tires are about to touch down on to runway 16R at Reno Tahoe International about four hours ago to complete a KOAK-KRNO morning trip. The heat from the thrust reversers, combined with the triple-digit temperature out on the runway, created a bit of heat distortion, but the "Hammerhead" nose art is well defined.
Info Note >> The other four Shark Week nose art designs are: "Great White" on N470WN, "Tiger" on N553WN, "Mako" on N961WN, and "Bull" on N947WN.
