According to the historical record, GHWBush flew a TBM. He flew from the USS San Jacinto in 1944, so the paint job shown is nice for airshows but totally inaccurate. The paint job should be Navy gray over white with 1944 style "stars and bars" insignia, not the pre-Midway red ball and no bars.

But it is the pattern of the Enterprise planes up to the battle of Midway. I recall a Dauntless painted exactly this way. The anachronism is the tribute to GHWBush...
