My home town, Wichita Falls, TX, always looks better from 15,000 than it does from the ground!

Wonder how that female pilot likes the Be a Stud motto. You guys don't get to have all of the fun now.

Great video! I'm currently assigned at Sheppard. Those boys fly the crap out of the Talons just about all day every day. Killer perspective from the GoPro! Thanks for posting!

Wow - With a requisition number of "65" on those T-38's, they are still looking good for a 49 year old airplane.

I guess those talons have pretty much been there since the BUFFs left out in the late 60's. I remember going thru there myself in 68 for the start of MedTech training and hey were there then. I was raised about 50 miles North of there in Oklahoma and used to drive by the base all the time butI don't remember the exact year that the BUFF's moved out.

The 4245th Strategic Wing, was based at Sheppard from 1963 to 1966.

In July 1969, Detachment 1, 2nd Bombardment Wing, with four B-52 aircraft, became a tenant organization at Sheppard and remained until 1975. These aircraft rotated as part of SAC’s dispersal concept and utilized the SAC Alert Facility on the northwest end of the airfield.

That would have been right, with the wing leaving in 66 and I was there in 68, there were no BUFFs there. I never was back by there in that time frame. Tks
