I'd kinda like to have the contract for replacing one of those half million grease traps. The other thing that DIA must remember is that several large cities of their size have been de-hubbed over the past couple of years because of little or no O&D traffic. Granted, there may not be a clear competitor around but they had best not get that indispensable feeling. To a degree, it may just be posturing by the airlines, but in an industry with razor thin margins to begin with, they will look to survive, not maintain tradition.

Exactly what you say. But why on thus green earth are people down voting an article that highlights such an important issue.

If and when one of the airlines dehubs Denver, it should ve widely known that airport officials had ample notice and warning about rising fees.

I'm like you about the downvote, unless folks are just in a crabby mood. LOL. As far as a de-0hub, if it were to happen, Southwest would be the first to go. Tossup on UAL or Frontier. UAL been there since forever and Frontier Hq there, although, with their new ownership looking toward ULC carrier, might not be too many binding ties.
