Air Caraibes and Corsair International to merge.
French carrier Corsair International belongs to the TUI Group. TUI agreed to sell the airline to Air Caraibes. Another French carrier Air Caraibes operates flights in the French Carribean as well as long haul flights from its base at Paris Orly using Airbus A350XWB and Airbus A330 aircraft. Corsair International operates flights to Africa, Mauritius, and Carribean. They operate flights with Airbus A330 and Boeing 747-400 from their base at Paris Orly. clearly, a "fusion" is totally different than a "merger"
"The entrepreneur isn’t merging the airlines...because French law makes such combinations too complex, said Marc Rochet, CEO of Air Caraibes." So why say they are merging in the headline?
