Same engines as the Bombardier Global Express I believe.

Thoes engines look really big! I believe these same engines power the Boeing 717 as well.

We were on the cusp of a thunderstorm, so it was pretty righteous looking to the north of us.

Gavin, Thank you for your question, and it is a good question. I'd be the first to admit that these photos scanned from prints look terrible. A lot has to do with this site I believe. the prints are always much sharper...but not sure why they get softened up so much when I post them. I admit the colors have faded on the prints over time, as you might expect. I do not have have a good scanner, and it cant scan the 35mm negatives. Its just the flat glass surface. The problem really is time, and volume. I probably have a couple hundred thousand prints from 35mm negatives stored in the basement in storage tubs, on top of 600K+++ digital images...and still have to work, and everything. One of these days, if I win the lottery and can retire, and buy a good 35mm scanner, it would be a full time job to catalog it all. Thank you for your feedback.

@Gavin I hear you there on wasted military spending!! Here is the report about taking them out of service. https://ukdefencejournal.org.uk/sentinel-r1-to-be-scrapped-next-year-due-to-obsolescence-say-mod/ The wild part is that they knew it was going to need a major upgrade just a few years after its introduction.

The B-2 is no different with it expected to be taken out of service once the B-21 is active. So if you figure that each B-2 was 2.1 billon USD at 35 years of service it cost only 60 million a year just to buy the thing. that does not include maint, operating and crew costs. The Sentinal R1 cost around 12.5 million pounds for each year of service.

Nice, colorful pic. But those main gear, i’m assuming they’re down...they just disappear into the background

So many folks don't put in context... I try to, especially if it helps people to know where to spot at our airport.

This Sea King is one of six helicopters, two SEAT tankers, two BAe air tankers, two Super Scoopers, and that Erickson Mad Dog back there that are involved in the air attack of the North Fire that started near Hallelujah Junction, CA, and then jumped the CA-NV state line into Nevada. As of this morning, the fire was 10% contained.
