McDonnell Douglas FA-18 Hornet (16-6977)

A slight bit of bad luck when the sun popped out from behind a cloud just as this Super Bug came blazing by next to me while rocketing away from runway 34R. I could not hit the WB button quickly enough to change the setting from cloudy to sunny so this click of VFA 94's Lt E.M. "Doe" Walker (front seat) and Lt N.S. "Alf" Waugh taking 166977 on the climb is somewhat backlit.
VFA-94, the "Mighty Shrikes," fly F/A-18F Super Hornets and are home based at NAS Lemoore (CA).
