Grumman G-40 Avenger (N6447C) - Grumman TBM-3 "Avenger." Hangar curtains closed* to keep daylight from creating shadows. Flash also intentionally disabled for the same reason. Nice old time plane pic! :)

When viewed in daylight, the color of the "topside" camo paint is actually a medium blue. It is only because this old warbird was parked toward the back of the long (and very dark) interior of the massive hangar ... and no camera flash equipment was used to provide illumination for the shot ... that the camo paint appears to be the color seen here.

Still flies. FAA certificate was recently renewed and is valid til 2020. This pic was taken a few years ago at the Tillamook Air Museum in Oregon. Shortly afterwards, the owner took it and several other of his warbird collection out of that museum. It is now at a museum in Houston.

Loved seeing your collection as it spans time and has such variety. Creative close ups and wide open landscape shots. Always a pleasure. Thanks !
