Lockheed C-130 Hercules (N2005) - USCG HC-130J on display at AirVenture 2016 in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. Note the tail number should not have the "N"; the FlightAware system added it and I cant edit it out.

I have posted the same aircraft from Oshkosh this year and why F/A puts the N in front of the 4 numbers baffles me because most US Coast Guard helos and planes are only 4 numbers. Another user suggested I put a 0 in front of the 2005 and it took the N away and now reads 02005. And for a military aircraft, I would rather have the 0 instead of the N at the beginning. Give it a try?

I noticed that too....there are currently four photos of this same aircraft posted as 2005 without the "N"...

This same plane was photographed "about a year ago" by Savannah Ford....listed in Flight Aware as tail #2005.
