I didn't realize the Air Force version had tail hooks. The last American F4 I've seen on our ramp at RAF Mildenhall was probably 1991. I was a MAC guy, I mainly saw cargo aircraft.

Tail hook! Yeah, odd that it's in 'jungle drag'. *shrug* For fighting in swamps?

Many fighter aircraft have a tail hook of some kind, regardless of being carrier based, for arrested emergency landings.

Robert, this aircraft wears its historical SE Asia camo pattern from Vietnam, since this was a heritage flight and demo.
