BOEING 727-200 (N523PE) - KSJC - Late 1980s at San Jose, Continental seemed to always have a 727 at San Jose for the Denver flight. Sometimes I'd pull into SJC for AM pictures at the mini observation deck and there would be 2 727s, and a 737-200/300 or an MD-80 series...I have plenty of video from here too I'm going to have to upload to YT soon.

Great shot and history Tom! The red meatball was my favorite Continental livery.

One of my all-time favorite commercial aircraft. Not necessarily quiet pre-hush kits or efficient, though capable.

This one came as part of the People's Express Merger.

Loved these planes. Continental colors looked great on all their planes. Was a wonderful airline to fly with. Had a Continental 707 land at Osan because Kimpo fogged in. A real change of pace from our usual Liftmasters, Starlifters, Hercules, and Skymasters.

Nice shot ... except for it being the SCAB version of Continental. :-(
