I never thought this snap would come out. As can be seen by the shadow on the fuselage of the C-17 by the tail, I was shooting into the sun. I was fairly far away, and the air temperature was in the 90s so the heat on the sun-baked ramp under a clear sky was over 100 with heat waves rolling up. At first, I thought that trying for this click was a huge waste of effort, but the beauty of digital is that if the photo comes out lousy it can simply be deleted, so I adjusted for the conditions as best I could and snapped off a series. And I'm glad I did ... this picture came out quite clear and sharp given the distance and the hot, "almost noon" conditions.
Nice job, Gary! It turned out pretty darned nice!
"5" Stars on this one, Gary... and an outstanding photo capture of these aircraft!!!
Well done Gary!
Excellent shot and capture, Gary!
perfect shot Gary!!
Nice photo there Gary. I wish here on F/A you didn't have to click "full" to get the full resolution of the photo. I don't think all the users of the website that browse the photos know you have to click full to view the "real" photo. Again, very nice photo Gary.
Another awesome shot, Gary!
Excellent shot Gary
Gman - excellent detail on this photo! Even the plane on the tail band "McGuire" shows very well...
