Lockheed C-130 Hercules (79-0477)
The sun had gone down behind the Sierra Nevada range behind me but there was still just enough light to attempt to capture the Nevada Air Guard's "Roller Seven Seven" (79-0477) as it came in on the other side of the airport to land on runway 16L. It was a bit difficult to even see this one in the low light, especially because it blended in so well against the dark sides of the Virginia Range mountains. But I suppose that is one main reason why they are painted gray ... so they DON'T "stand out" ... and this one sure didn't. Fortunately, I was able to snap a clean picture in the last few moments of light so here is the first photo of 79-0477 to appear in the FA gallery.
