That's the first I've seen the COMAC in flight. It does look a lot like. B717 with CRJ looking engines. It's good to see it flying though.

I disagree with Larry that this looks like the DC-9 / B-717 but for the basic rear mounted twin engines, low wing and overall general design.
Maybe comes close to the DC-9-10 being so short.
Most notable difference is the lack of a 7 windscreen configuration whereas the ARJ-21-700 has a six windscreen configuration.

Methinks both McDonnell and Boeing could have had a more profitable approach to the DC-9 legacy.

The newest member of the legendary DC-9 family. Wow, Boeing tried to kill the DC-9 family in favor of the 737 family, but the DC-9 apparently refuses to die. And I'm glad.
