Used to live along approach to Moffett and would hear the squadrons preparing to leave followed by previous squadrons return. Awsome sound from that many turboprops.

As an aircrewman on the Orion, spent many hours in the sky, lots of countries seen, lots of friendships made, and tons of memories. Never can be replaced.

Used to work on these in the Navy, Barbers Point, HI. VP-17

Not sure where those "specs" came from.

P-3C carries up to 13 crew and has 23 "ditching stations", i.e., "seats".

The "side number" of the aircraft is not the same as the "BuNo", which is the Bureau Number, and is unique to each individual airplane in the Navy or Marine Corps inventory. There is no such concept of a "Construction Number" in the fleet; maybe that is a Lockheed internal number.
