Very nice and efficient, no doubt, but I loved the old Goose with radial engines. I'm just a nostalgic old timer.

First airplane I ever flew on. My wife, newborn daughter and I flew from San Pedro, CA to Catalina Island and back for a day trip. The luggage compartment in the nose was impressive as were the water takeoffs and landings. The pilot was also the baggage handler.

@William; I use to watch these land and takeoff from Avalon Harbor. Like the S.S. Catalina, this too is now only in our memories.
