New tail code?

One of those rare things that is so homely that it's beautiful. Nice photo.

Not a craft, but a tool. Does it job with plenty to spare.

@terry kelsey: agreed, very similar to a Pekingese, so ugly it's cute. I've always loved the A-10, hope it can keep flying despite how much the brass wants rid of it.

What?!?! Another photo of an A-10? Well then, it's another 5-star rating from me. I love the angle of the light and the detail in the photo as well. Very nice capture!

NEW TAIL CODE: Fairchild Republic A-10C Thunderbolt II USAF 80-0173 47th FS DP "Dogpatchers" AFRC Davis-Monthan AFB, AZ
Cole Neill
Super badass- watched them destroy ALL targets in the 2nd Gulf War. Beautiful sight!!! US should be building more instead of mothballing them. And the pilots- absolutely fearless! Nothing better than the sound of those 50's when you are a grunt sucking sand!!! Praise the hog... get some!

Right up there with the Mustang!
Great bird

@ everyone thanks for the friendly comments! It's so awesome watching the hogs fly everyday out here at Davis Monthan and I can assure you I have plenty more photos coming up!
Chris Croft
Sorry Cole, no "50's' on this bird. The sound you heard while "sucking sand" was a nose mounted 30 mm GAU-8/A Avenger rotary cannon, firing uranium depleted armor piercing shells.
50's vs Rotary 30 cannon? Cole must have sucked more than sand! Big difference.
