I hope all the airlines flying composite planes can get their mechanics certified to do field repairs quickly. Every A&P can repair aluminum, but they will need special certified training and equipment to make damaged composites airworthy again. Cirrus requires factory engineering approval and new engineering drawings to repair major structural damage like a crushed wing leading edge.

I can imagine the pilot saying "Hey dad I had a slight little problem with the new car, urr - I meant the new plane"

Imagine the pilot saying - "Hey dad, I had slight little problem with the new car, ur I meant the new plane."
