Interesting turn of events. Guess mother Russia was not as powerful as we have been led to believe.

One would think that this would be considered an act of war by Putin. The Wagner Group must have some things of great embarrassment to the current Russian Federation Government, to be able to pull this off with impunity.
What a great addition to the story of Russian aggression. If it were a novel, no one would believe it.

This was initially felt to be an Il-26 transport, with the key issue being the number of engines. The article doesn't address this question. The aerial and ground video evidence isn't entirely dispositive but I lean towards four engines, with the outer two beng torn loose by centrifugal force and impacting away from the main crash site. The -11 is obviously the best case scenario.

Perhaps instead of giving all of our money to Ukraine, we should just hire the Wagner group to reek havoc within Russia. They seem to be much more effective at this than the Ukrainian military and they're all about whoever pays them. Seems like a better return on our endless investment.

But then the war would end and who would the big military contractors sell their weapons too?

Why are we discussing politics on this site ?
First of all some people speculate and jump to conclusions. The story is inaccurate.
This is not our interest and war .
Billions of dollars have been spent in that war .
Our real war is to take care of American , Americans and improve their lives , situations and their future.
Imagine if those Dollars were spent wisely towards homelessness, schools, school teachers, children’s future poor American families and hospitals.
We haven’t learned our lessons from the past world wars . Hopefully mankind will learn and get along well between nations in the future.

Oh we can IMAGINE such, but the politicos who would abandon Ukraine have ZERO intent to spend any money, much less "Wisley", to minimize homelessness, fund excellence in schools, or pay school teachers a living salary. Children’s future in America depends on healthy families with access to health care and of course not getting shot if you go out in public.
