Commercial aviation in the US employs five million people, and drives 5-percent of our nation's Gross Domestic Product (the equivalent of $1.25 trillion in 2022). Along with traditional income and payroll taxes, airlines and their customers (passengers and shippers) pay many special taxes and fees to the federal government. These taxes and fees are pay for airport security, environmental protection, infrastructure enhancement, airport and airway operations and maintenance, and agency financing. Passenger-paid taxes can add as much as 18-percent to the cost of an airline ticket.

Well folks if my math doesn't do me incorrect that is $8,500,000 per airport!

Wow that will come in real handy at the large major metro airports. Not!

Very small airports could certainly do quite a bit with $8.5m

Your math is good, but the $970m won’t be distributed equally. Per the article FLL gets $50m, ORD $40m; PHX, IAD, SFO, LAX get between $31m and $36m each. No doubt a full detailed list is out there somewhere on the web.

Bill, why don’t you move to Russia? You complain about how terrible this country is and toss out numbers with nothing to back any of it up. (Because it is not factual) You sit there typing away about giving aide to a country invaded by Communists Russia. Funny how all you far right wing conservatives keep calling democrats commies, yet you all are for supporting a vicious murderer Putin, who would have had you in a prison for speaking up the way you do. Stop comparing foreign policy to domestic issues. Yes, the US has domestic problems that need to be addressed. And here is an administration trying to pass bipartisan immigration, but your savior Drumf said no, that hurts me…so we can’t have that. Almost a Billion for domestic infrastructure in airports, plus the other infrastructure bill that was passed, but rather than give some credit, you complain about a totally separate issue.

My numbers? Where did you see me put up any numbers? If I did put up any numerical data; I would back it up with a source. I know you don’t believe the media tho, right? The election was stolen, and our proud patriots hostages from Jan 6 should be released immediately, right?! I live in the real world and haven’t been the one swayed by Fox News. How much did they have to pay for spreading false info? (but everything else is Fake news)

The immigration bill was bipartisan and gave the republicans what they were asking for. It hurt Trump, so he made sure it wouldn’t pass. He admitted to that. You cannot say otherwise. If you look at data from the Dept of Homeland Security, more people have been deported/removed under Obama than anyone else. Last I remember, he was a democrat. What happened with Drumf building a wall? Oh thats right, they stole that money! Right out of the ole drumfinators playbook. How much has he grifted off you Billy?

And what are you you even talking about, “they don’t want peace”? What kind of ignorance is that? first off, there would be peace if Russia didn’t invade. And second, do you think they shouldn’t fight for their country and their freedom? They should just let Russia gain more power and just say oh well!? Who is the real communist here? I guess we should just give up Texas, New Mexico, and Arizona. Just let Mexico take it so we won’t have 2 trillion billion immigrants flooding in. I mean, that’s what you think Ukraine should do. Just give up…

I bet you are all for supporting Israel tho. As I am also. That is what we do, we help our allies when aggression is taken against them. I guess you are the type of guy that holds the defenseless person down so the bully can beat him, and then blame the little guy for making you do it.

The reason our country has problems is from people like you. Don’t take responsibility and what if and what about everything else. No solution is good enough, you just find another complaint. Be a part of the solution Bill.

You failed to address any of those “DIMM” talking points. But in true MAGA form, attempt to insult me and deflect. When did I ever say the USAF is the only place to fly? I said I was a vet. And embarrassed? I’m sorry to disappoint, but I do not get embarrassed during a conversation with someone simply because I disagree with their viewpoints. I don’t attack and insult to try and make a point. I don’t throw out numbers without a source. I don’t support dictators. I don’t hate people for trying to make a better life for their family. There is so much more to all of this besides financial support. If you could look outside of your confined tiny box, you’d understand the need for immigration and foreign aide. You want the United States to isolate and be cut off. How well does that work for North Korea? I know you want a dictator in the white house, and think that’s the way we should be governed.
