Are Khalid Yohana, 19; Essa Solaqa, 20; ; Jonathan Khalid Petras, 20; and Saiman Hermez, 19 old enough to purchase alcohol in the US, even if they are not behaving obnoxiously ?

Need to be 21 in States, 18-19 is legal in Canada

Thanks Matt. I didn't know if it was 18 in some States and 21 in others. As this was an internal US flight I assume that US law would have penalised the FA if she had served them.

18 is legal in a good part of US if not all. You can't vote til 21 but you can drink.

Drinking age is 21 in all 50 states. Feds decided to withhold highway $$$ if the states didn't raise the age.

Not anymore. Was 18 in NY when I grew up. It has been 21 for a long time now. Don't get fooled by the fake story about Obama lowering the drinking age to 18.

Some has probably changed over the years. It was done to 18 years ago in AR/and Ok maybe some others, and still is.

It's 21 nationwide, and The Supremes ruled it so. I was under 21 once...

Kinda like marijuana, a federal law being ignored. This link says that it is still state law that rules, and as I said, down here it is 18.

Maybe for near-beer (3.2% max ABV), but not for regular stuff.

I'm guessing they were well served, or self-served, before they even got on board. Just a guess...

Here is the continuing flight after they diverted to Amarillo, unloaded the six passengers, and continued to Chicago:

Yes, and it was nearly 3 hours later than they were originally expecting to arrive in Chicago.

From the article you'll agree the pax were disruptive enough to divert ? Flight time, flight plan filing time, taxi time, new appointment times, arrest processing time, 3 hours is probably pretty good.

There was comment about Southerners being rough and unruly as a matter of course in one of the UK newspapers which I posted a disagreement to. It didn't mention at that time that these were soccer players - that probably explains their behaviour.

They were from SOUTHERN California. LOL
