Easy solution - make people pay for all consumables on all flights

with the exception of first class,on short haul flights, people already pay for snacks or sandwiches..beverages are served in different ways, and both plastic and paper cups are used..water is still in plastic bottles...people may forgo food, but most at least want a drink of water or a coke or a cup of coffee or a glass ofjuice as part of their airfare..

Typical Huffington Post whining. Suppose we use glass instead of plastic...Glass equals more weight, more fuel burned, more emissions.

We recycle in our city. With other countries refusing our 'refuse' now, much of our garbage ends up in the landfill anyway. They won't accept glass or paper at all now.

Ever order breakfast at Micky D's with a side order? Incredible amount of detritus, mostly plastic, so lets guilt the great unwashed for flying 'coach' when the G whizzes are flyin off the shelves at $65 mil. a pop!
