The lax way that AA handles liquor makes thinks like this possible. I have never understood why there was no accounting for any of their concession items. I guess it is just easier to charge for bags than keep up with item sold.

I flew for a few African airlines on contracts over a number of years. The local cabin crews and catering staff used to clear out all the catering trolleys after the flights. They would take bin liners and scoop the stuff into them to take home. I reported it to the airline but they took no notice. It probably goes on to this day.

If they were taking things all this time -- what could someone be LEAVING? Makes me feel safer. At least there we no donuts with icing or "suspicious" bottled water involved. Gotta love JFK. My absolute last resort.

It took nine months to investigate alcohol theft??? Multiple terrorist cells have been shut down in less time.

it takes longer to arrest americans than terrorists because americans have rights and gov't has to due process. with terrorists they can just arrest them without charges indefinitely.

The people in the US with the most rights are politicians and illegals. Neither one has to show ID!

You have to understand that this is the Port Authority we are talking about here. Obviouly the cost was just getting passed thru to AA. I wonder who was asleep at the switch there?

I often wonder why liquor stores around airports always have tiny bottles for sale, just like the airlines.

Well with TSA agents taking bribes for overweight bags, this just helps lighten the plane back to what the pilots expect the weight to be.

In other news, 18 LSG workers called in sick Saturday morning, after consuming approximately 781 gallons of alcohol at what was surely the greatest party Queensborough has seen since the days of disco.

Well, I expect that AA's liquor bill will go down. LSG didn't get hurt. They were just passing the cost thru to AA.
