So, yesterday, Southwest didn't cancel more flights than any other carrier, they DELAYED more flights than any other carrier. 1,009, and the next highest was around 200, and it was China Eastern. So Southwest management seems to be all about damage control, and getting in front of the PR disaster of sky high cancellations (by calling them delayed?). CBS News supported that game by stating that Southwest has 'recovered'. No, they just stuck a different label on their hot mess. I was on, or supposed to be on, a Delta flight that was 'delayed' nearly 4 hours, and finally cancelled. Impossible to think that someone couldn't make that call before the number of alternatives at the airport had dried up. Fun fun fun...
