Jazz Aviation amends Dash 8 aircraft operating procedures following landing accident

Could it be that they are just flying the plane too damn fast while in the app mode and then make large power changes in order to get down to the proper speed short final in order to save time and money?
Further to my last comment, here we have a 12,000 hr captain who decides it's a good idea to fly past the FAF at 103 knots faster than the bugged vref+5 (101) in active snow shower conditions with diminishing daylight on a vor/dme approach. Got some 'splaining to do!
