In the wake of the Lion Air and Ethiopian Airlines crashes of Boeing 737 Max planes, people are thinking about how much of their air travel is handled by software and automated systems – as opposed to the friendly pilots sitting in the cockpit. Simply because pilots aren't. With already low pilot numbers, starts down, and fundamental training lacking in many others, automation is the only way for aviation expansion to occur. If I ever have to use the airlines again I will just hope for the best.
