That captain has rapid movements in the stick with little to no movement to the plane. What's the point then?

I noticed that too. That was also the first good look at the inside of an AB cockpit. I am right-handed and besides non corresponding movents to/from the other side, I think I would have a real hard time learning how to fly left handed. Most time on a yoke or the steering wheel of a car, the left hand is up there anyway but more as a guide rather than any action made. I guess it would be one of those psycological things.

I was concerned about that as well until I flew my first sidestick plane and it turned out to be no issue, however I didn't have the dexterity in my left thumb to operate the trim as sensitively as I would've wanted.

I'm just glad I am semi retired and that AB hasn't made inroads to my fill in work yet. If it ever reaches that point and my ATP is still current, I guess that's when I'll hang up my spurs. I just ain't gonna go there. I did find out just in general crew hole talk at KATL last week that less than 50% of DAL pilots are AB typed and most of the ones that are came off NWA. That is also a major reason for the seniority issues they are having with the merger. Word is DAL will not be buying anymore AB's and they are trying to stretch the pilot issue thing until some of those older AB AC can be retired, but as long as they have held on to those ragged 9's they are still running, who knows.
