why are many aircraft left rotting in deserts rather then recycling the metal fuselage?
well, contrary to your belief that they are "rotting", the desert environment is actually the best to store the aircraft. Low humidity does not feed corrosion. Now what the trash reporting of simpleflying does not explain is that these are airframes that have been retired and are being scrapped.
thanks, Im talking about aircraft boneyards where there left for many years w/o being scrapped
FYI a quick google search would have told you what goes on with retired AC of all types even military ones so look before posting.
