Lockheed F-16 Fighting Falcon (93-0721)
This photo of 93-0721, the first picture of this F-16A to be posted into FA's picture gallery, shows the 21st Fighter Squadron "Gamblers" (Luke AFB, AZ) Fighting Falcon taxiing down Alpha away from the NAWDC ramp toward runway 31L as it is about to depart NAS Fallon after participating in several days of training exercises with the Navy's TopGun instructors. The tail design on this "Gamblers" color bird is unique ... to represent the two colors on a deck of cards, this side is red; the other side is black.

The 21st FS trains pilots of the Republic of China (Taiwanese) Air Force. There were numerous USAF F-16s at NFL and we arrived on the ramp just in time to catch several of them taxiing out to return to Luke AFB. This one was not leaving just at the moment we arrived so we had enough time to get snaps of the other side while it was still parked on the ramp. I was also able to click this one (with the black side of the tail facing me) as it was on the climb away from 31L, but the sun was behind it; thus, the shot, although viewable, is backlit.
