Wingfoot One is a member of Goodyear's new fleet of NT Airships, which have an added carbon fiber and aluminum frame beneath the soft skin. Blimps have no frame, instead operating like a big balloon with engines. (video-embed.cleveland.com) المزيد...

I was a big fan of Airship Ventures Inc. which was a private company that offered sight-seeing rides (which the company called "flightseeing") in a 12-passenger Zeppelin NT out of a World War II United States Navy hangar at Moffett Federal Airfield near Mountain View, California. I came within a couple of minutes of riding on "Eureka" when it was on a tour of the United States and stopped in St. Louis. Flight was cancelled due to weather and I was sadly disappointed.
