Unknown/Generic Balloon (N1783F)

SOLBERG AIRPORT-READINGTON, NEW JERSEY, USA-JULY 28, 2023: Seen by RF during Media Day for the 40th Annual New Jersey Festival of Ballooning were several Special Shape balloons. The small blue colored one, registration number N1783F, depicts the Montgolfier Brothers balloon that on September 19, 1783 took the first living beings aloft in a basket attached to a balloon. Those living beings were a duck, a rooster and a sheep. From this angle, only the sheep can be seen in this photo All of the animals survived and later that same year human flight in balloons followed, both tethered and free flight.
