Douglas DC-3 (turbine) (C-GKKB)
Comments
Dc3 non?
Good old Dakota... even if I dont like it with turbines.. still a DC3 ,it's a drudge..
Started life as a DC-3 but now a Basler BT-67, which includes modifications to the body and wings and multiple other upgrades, not just limited to the fitting of turboprops. See https://www.baslerturbo.com/.
I love the Canadian North hangar in the background. Even though the Basler BT-67 is Kenn Borek Air. Very cool photo.
Buffalo Airways in Yellowstone NWT has a few of these in their fleet. They were forced to remove the old Pratt and Whitney engines and replace with turbo prop engines due to AV Gas is getting hard to get. Especially in that area.
I assume the mission is Smoke Jumpers? Canada is good at keeping history flying.......
Just noticed a person standing on the port main gear. ;-)
A DC-3 Will always be a DC-3... no matter what engines you put on them.
