Pregnant Goonie bird ? C-46
HI, this was the first aircraft I was made flight engineer on. The SQ then moved on to the C-119 and finally the C-123. I miss those days. There is an airline company in alaska that still flies the Commando
Is it Buffalo airlaine that still flies thé commando ?

Speaks volumes about how well engineered this tough old bird must be to be operating around 80 years after it was built in a cold climate like Alaska.
Good pic of an historic aircraft.

@Gilles Lavoie According to their web site, Buffalo has 2 C-46, C-FAVO and C-GTPO.
I understand EVERTS Fluel Service's two C-46 are now out of service and "in storage".
And that Buffalo Air only has one flying.
Unfortunately, they are slowly disappearing.
Do not have as many folks trying to save them and keep them flying as the C-47/DC-3.
