It was the trash part from the DC-10, and the lack of engine screens on the Concorde that contributed to the crash. Also a good cleaning of the runway between the flights would have made a big difference.

It was a tragic and freak accident . I personally love the DC-10 . This is a great picture of an Iconic aircraft !

Thought from the documentaries that an improper repair to an engine nacelle caused the repair to separate, and, lay in wait on the runway for SST F-BTSC to strike it.
It wasn't a "freak" accident as it was preventable and forseeable.
Nobody punished for criminally negligent homicide, etc.?
