WOW! Never heard of this plane before!
Travis, this type has a long history of active military service, dating from WWII, circa 1943, thru the Vietnam War, circa 1969... with the last being retired from an ANG unit about 1972. During that time it flew missions in not only the Korean War and the previously mentioned wars... but in other countless "hot" conflicts across the globe. It has been designated as both an A-26 and a B-26... (not to be confused with Martin's B-26 Marauder). Some even carried a WWII U.S. Navy designation during and post WWII. There were sub-variants for nighttime photo reconnaissance, weather observation and training roles too.
Cliff:
Some were used as fire suppression bombers. See the movie "Always".

SkyhawkRG, you are "spot on" about the fire suppression "bomber" use. That's a great movie too, BTW.
I think Travis was referring to the data stating it's a piper tomahawk
Sam, that's a possibility as I completely overlooked... thanks!
i was Sam, but i do like the info cliff! THANKS!
You're welcome, Travis... and thank you for the kind words.
