That's a -200
Somewhere in Florida, MIA, FLL or PBI, 42E turning off after a cross-wind landing. See the Australian pines in the background, wind appears from NE at 15 given the deflection of the tree tops.
The post about 42E landing is questionable as per flt cntrl surfaces set for take off not landing and it's definitely a -200
Nice. I remember flying on those.
B727-225. last seen @ KMHV 1995, broken up. good example of a real workhorse.
easy to hand fly & very stable going to CAT 2 minimums.

Every time I see Eastern's livery (the vintage Eastern), I think about how they went bankrupt while we were on Spring Break....and we got stuck in Miami. Good memories, thanks mom and dad!
It could be after landing if they were in the process of retracting the flaps, because the TE flaps appear to be less than 15 but slightly more than 5. -200
I'm curious about the tail section off the nose, as well. N
Yes Mark, that is 200
Northwest Photography, very nice nostalgic shot !! Flew on these many times from Montreal to Florida. Thanks for the memories.
Keith Brown, talking about the Eastern personalities, don't forget "The Astronaut"
That's a 200, not a 100.
I love this aircraft! It’s a very sturdy air frame; a try motor workhorse! Very loud, of course, but very durable! I wish they were still around.
I love this airplane!
