It's a Boeing V-22 Osprey, designed for both vertical and horizontal flight.

awesome picture - thanks for posting. unfortunately, i am not an osprey fan - i was involved with some certification ref military airborne operations, and quite frankly - it did not and will not meet some aspects of special operations. the concept and the machine is awesome - no doubt about it, but it has its place. again, awesome picture and technology - thanks for sharing
