One of the more recent additions to the Cactus Air Force Wings And Wheels Museum's collection is this Boeing CH-46E Sea Knight (formerly 155308, now N4611), captured here being displayed at last weekend's Carson City Airport (KCXP) Open House.
Comments
As can be seen by the markings, this Phrog spent its final time on active duty assigned to HMM 774 (Marine Medium Helicopter Squadron 774) as a "Wild Goose." The HMM 774 squadron was the last USMC squadron to fly the Sea Knight helicopters, and the last Phrogs were WFU just last year, replaced by Ospreys.
