Believed to be pictured in Akron, Ohio. This aircraft served as the flying sales ship for the Salem Engineering Company of Salem, Ohio and owned by Mr. Sam Keener. He flew this aircraft just prior to flying around the world in the replacement DC-4. This aircraft now resides at Castle AFB as the "Shady Lady". Picture date is estimated circa June 1950 as that was when this plane was put up for sale and the DC-4 retrofitted from UAL service to Keener's needs.
