Gulfstream American Gulfstream 2 (N55RG)

N55RG is the first Gulfstream Jet built. Serial # 001 was built in 1966 and it took 2 yrs to get serial #001 certified. It was then used as a demo aircraft until 1970. In 1970 Robert W. Galvin (Motorola) bought it as his personal aircraft. Mr. & Mrs. Galvin were the only owners of Serial # 001. Mary B. Galvin donated N55RG to the Carolinas Aviation Museum & N55RG's final flight was September 9th 2012. September 9th 2012 was also my final flight after flying corporate jet for 46 years. It was a GREAT DAY to retire together.
