McDonnell Douglas DC-10 (N321FE)

Today, FedEx’s DC-10-30F N321FE made her final flight out of IND and metaphorically “Flown West” to the desert in VCV. Not sure how many hour’s/cycle’s she completed in her 42 year life.

For the Record, her final revenue flight was Flight FX1617 IAH-IND on 08-29-22.

Her final flight was today (08-31-22) as FX9033 IND-VCV. Photo’s showing her departure from off of runway 23-R at 11:47.
Originally built for Sabena, her first flight was made on 07-15-1980. MSN 47836, Line # 330. She was delivered to Sabena on 08-14-1980 as OO-SLE. She joined FedEx on 01-07-1992 as N321FE.

This leaves FedEx with only Five DC-10-30’s left.

The Five FedEx DC-10’s remaining are: N304FE, N306FE, N307FE, N316FE, N318FE. I believe I read somewhere these will all be leaving the fleet by the end of September 2022.
