Boeing 747-200 (N634US)

This aircraft is not active. The activity noted below belongs to an LSA Sportcruiser.

Who said it was active? Most people here know there are very few active 747-200's left flying anywhere, and Northwest Airlines no longer exists. Doesn't change the fact that tail number was worn by that aircraft way before that LSA Sportcruiser. There are many examples on this site that show aircraft with recycled tail numbers.

When I was in the Military, You counted down the days until you could take the "Red Tail" home.

The red tail represented the blood the employees shed to keep the airline operating.

No, she is no longer ‘active’, but she is far from being forgotten. I flew/instructed on the 747 (the ‘Classic’ and the -400) for almost 10 years, and I can attest she rightfully earned the title, “Queen of the skies.” The photos are a much appreciated remembrance and tribute to her reigning legacy! Thanks for sharing John!

@ Jim Leonard.. True that. May have been the 747 I took to Korea in 84 on a MAC flight or the one I flew back on 15 months later.
