Just browsing and came across this photo. Is this the type that went down into a field circa Oct.95'Halloween evening in Ind?. Icing of wings I seem to recall. If so, I had just passed by there going to Indpls,Ind. on I-65.
Hi Larry. No, that was an ATR back in 1995 in Indiana. They had been in a holding pattern with some flap extended due to air traffic delays.
Hi Chris,, tnx for that info. But one tv station, I think Lafayette,Ind. just a few miles south of the site, reported ice on leading edge boots and I did get into some light rain and winds from north. Also it was near a nudist camp but I doubt anyone was 'roughing' it that day ;) IDK
