The assigned FAA registration number for this Curtiss P-40E aircraft is N940AK.
The tail numbers of "113521" must be intentionally transposed by the aircraft owner from the actual USAAF s/n of 41-5321 of this Curtiss built aircraft... or else, the two numbers are unrelated.
Joe Baugher's published information states the following about this P-40E:
"used by 7th PS, 49th PG in early 1942. Owned by Banta Aviation Corporation as (as) N940AK."
