Why is it that Douglas was able to stretch its DC-8 aircraft to the -50, -52, 60, 62 and -63 very successfully I should mention but Boeing did not or could not do likewise with the 707 ending the stretching excercise with the very successful 707-320 aircraft.
This is a beautiful airplane, almost elegant in its proportions
