I took this one about a year after a tragedy here at CYQV. A member of the 435 Transport and Rescue Squadron (SAR-TECH) at 17 Wing in Winnipeg died when his chute failed to open properly. One report said his legs became tangled with the chute in the slipstream. It’s a reminder of the sacrifices our troops have to make even in routine training excercises like this.
