This Herald has languished at the threshold of Gatwick's RW08 since 2003. Charlwood aviation museum has placed a picnic table on their side of the fence and the airport has cut down the trees in this area to allow visitors to watch movements. They plan to build a bank to provide an unobstructed view over the fence.
Hi Baz, I have around 2,500 flying hours in the F27. But, sadly, absolutely none in the HP Herald...so, the next time I am at Gatwick, I shall make a beeline to this spot. Thanks for this shot!
