All of there reviews are base customers. I fly jets to turbo props all over the US. I have never seen such an overcharging in my 30 plus yr of corporate flying. They charge $ 290.00 for a ramp fee for a King Air 200 or 110 gal min. Double that for race weekend and service is worse. Signature and Atlantic are your only choices at AUS. I can't recommend Atlantic due to their deceptive business practices. We keep a family place in Austin and would fly in regularly with them. However, on an upcoming trip I learned (second hand) about Atlantic's plan to charge us extra fees that would potentially double our usual trip cost with them. I will include details here, but if you don't care to read them beware that your cost may not be what they tell you it will be.
On Friday, August 28, around 5:30pm CDT I made a routine call to them to make a reservation for a weekend in October. I spoke with Morgan. When making the reservation I confirmed that their usual policies (waiving tie down with fuel purchase, fuel discount on the weekend, etc) would be in place for the October weekend in question. Morgan took the time to double check with a manager and confirmed that there would be no special fees or adjustments for that weekend.
I then heard a rumor from a local pilot that Atlantic was charging additional fees for that weekend, so I called them back to confirm. I don't recall who I spoke to, but she referred me to Aurianna (sp?) and said that Aurianna would call me back first thing in the morning. She never did.
I finally got ahold of her and she confirmed that they would be charging additional fees for the weekend. She was unable to explain why those of us who had a reservation under the previous price structure were not notified. I asked if they would honor the rates given to me when I made the reservation. She said she would speak to "a manager" and get back to me. I'm still waiting.
As much as I like their facility, the practice of quoting one price over the phone with the intention of charing 2x or more when the customer eventually shows up is too deceptive for a planner like me. Piper Malibu Mirage |

Becoming a big fan of Atlantic AUS. Customer service is excellent. Had an early morning 5am the other day and the team at Atlantic had fresh coffee ready for me and got me on my way quickly. Fuel order was perfect and aircraft was right outside the door waiting for me. Mooney M-20 Turbo |
